Научно-образовательный центр мирового уровня «Обеспечение экологической и продовольственной безопасности и развитие технологий здоровьесбережения» (Южно-Российский НОЦ) создан Распоряжением Главы администрации (Губернатором) от 30.03.2021 г. №90-р и в составе НОЦ Юга России, созданным Распоряжением Правительства РФ от 24.07.2021 №2054-р, входит в сеть 15 НОЦ мирового уровня России во исполнение указа Президента Российской Федерации Владимира Путина по выполнению одной из задач национального проекта "Наука".
Научно-образовательный центр мирового уровня объединяет образовательные учреждения высшего образования, научные организации и организации, действующие в реальном секторе экономики с целью кооперации и взаимовыгодного сотрудничества.
